Parent Coaching
Finding calm and confidence amongst the chaos
“Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better”. – Maya Angelou
Over decades, I’ve sat with individuals and families navigating anxiety, stress, grief, relationships, and the deep work of healing. But it wasn’t until I became a parent myself that I truly understood how layered and relentless the parenting journey can be. Parenting has a way of bringing up everything: our hopes, our fears, our old wounds, and our deepest love.
My approach blends the latest research in neuroscience, attachment theory, and Polyvagal Theory to help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface of your child’s behavior and within your own nervous system. I bring a trauma-informed, regulation-focused lens to parenting. Together, we explore how the brain develops, how secure attachment is built, and how the nervous system shapes everything from meltdowns to cooperation, connection, and resilience. When you understand what your child’s brain and body are trying to communicate, the path forward becomes clearer, calmer, and far more compassionate.
This isn’t about scripts or quick fixes. It’s about learning the science of safety, co-regulation, and emotional attunement and then applying it in a practical, grounded way that truly transform family dynamics.
Parenting isn’t just about managing behaviors -it’s about navigating big emotions, our kids’ and our own, holding boundaries with love, and healing patterns from our own past so we can show up the way we want to. It’s vulnerable, beautiful, exhausting, and empowering – all at once.
As your parent coach, I help you…
- Shift from reactive to responsive parenting
- Understand the “why” behind your child’s behavior
- Set boundaries that support growth, not guilt
- Communicate in ways that foster respect and cooperation
- Heal your own emotional triggers so you can parent with clarity
- Learn the power of repair
Core beliefs that I hold true:
- If kids can do well, they will
- There is always something under the behavior you are seeing
- Children are born with ALL of the emotions we have, and it is our job to teach them how to be with, and navigate those emotions
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all advice or chasing perfection. I believe in practical tools, compassionate reflection, and helping you become the parent you want to be – aligned with your values and grounded in connection.
